Emotions - Energy in Motion Emotions are our body's automatic response to situations. They're fast and fleeting, lasting about 90 seconds unless we fuel them with our thoughts. Think of emotions like waves—they come and go naturally, but if they grab hold of you, then you might get stuck in the undertow. Tools like deep breathing, mindfulness, or a brisk walk can help us to navigate these waves without being swept under.
Feelings - The Stories We Tell Ourselves Feelings can stick around because they’re tied to our thoughts, past experiences, and culture. They’re our conscious interpretation of emotions, and they can last for hours—or days—if left unchecked. Managing feelings is about acknowledging and accepting them without judgment, so we can let go of what doesn’t serve us.
