I've walked some miles in your shoes! I know what it’s like to be hit hard by a new reality that bursts into my life, leaving no way back and only one way forward. I had to learn to take care of myself, to overcome feelings of exhaustion, despondency, and overwhelm. For me, this meant going back to the beginning and learning what I needed—kindness, compassion, patience, purpose, strength, and resilience. I truly needed to get to know myself all over again, and as I did, I realised how my thoughts and beliefs were hindering me.
Then, I discovered ‘Kaizen,’ a compound of two Japanese words that together translate to "good change" or "improvement." For me, it meant small but consistent steps towards progress. An instant cure for overwhelm is when you remember that every step you take contributes to where you want to be.
In my journey, I needed to take these steps in several different directions. I reviewed my physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health in turn. I allocated my time according to my needs of the moment while maintaining a few ongoing practices that formed the foundation of my new way of being.
My world has been so transformed that I wanted to share it with like-minded others, plagued by the sheer avalanche of change they are facing in their midlife. As we take practical steps to overcome those aspects of ourselves that are standing in our way, we learn to build our RESILIENCE. This is the muscle that helps us overcome the challenges we meet.
The space in which we acquaint ourselves with the ways in which we can propel ourselves forward is more effective.
We can activate ourselves to find fresh 'INSPIRATION'. Discover those sparks that call to our souls and give us VITALITY.
Sometimes we will need to uncover our 'IMPETUS' and maintain our momentum if we have fallen out of habit or faith.
Our 'INFLUENCE' on others, and indeed, how our environment influences us, can have a profound impact. Heightening our awareness of this can help us create an environment where we can flourish.

As we 'ALIGN' with our values, life feels less draining and more nourishing as we become increasingly true to ourselves.
When we 'APPRECIATE' what we have and how far we have come, it not only nurtures our self-love and self-compassion, but it also attracts more of what we DO want into our world.
